Title: The West Coast

Title: Lake Country Views

There is a little mountain in Lake Country where if you if you hike to the top you can see all four lakes. It’s a gem of a place and my favourite viewpoint is looking south over the orchards, Duck Lake and Okanagan Lake. Better get up there in the morning so you can jump in one of the lakes in the afternoon.

Title: Cox Bay Beach, Tofino

I try and visit Vancouver Island once a year to see my grandma and family, it is one of my favourite places to go. Yes, I even love the ferry and the drive. One of my favourite drives is out to Tofino and stopping along the way for hikes and to see the beaches. The viewpoint of Cox Bay is stunning and I was so excited to create this painting. I wanted a soft, west coast feel in the sky with shades of deep blues for the pacific ocean.

Title: Okanagan Mountain

It’s been a slow but gorgeous sight to see Okanagan Mountain grow back from the 2003 fires. Every year that passes the mountain changes, the trees grow taller and wider, the grasses turn from soft browns to vibrant greens to golden yellows. With the lush wineries and orchards below and rich blues of Okanagan Lake, the spring snow capped tops, the sky is a celebration of how this mountain has come back to life.
